Remarks & Notes
On March 14th, 2019 I woke up and headed out the door on a bitter cold morning to chase my favorite engine of all time leading RUPO. This engine happens to be MEC 380, a very special engine to me. I was allowed in the cab of it in Rumford back in 2014 and it has been my favorite engine since. This engine is a GP40 high hood originally built for the N&W. At the time this picture was taken this was the last GP40 high hood in service in the world. The engine was retired by Pan Am Railways in June of 2020, leaving it a now possibly extinct engine variant. This was taken along Route 106 during my chase.
