"The End is Near"
One of the last moves on the New York and Greenwood Lake Dundee Spur treks up Monroe Street in Garfield with M&E SW1500 20 shoving a work train into Island Yard. The work train is being spotted to transport ties and rails that are being ripped up on the Dundee Spur right of way. The 1.1 mile right of way was purchased by a developer after the NYGL failed to pay their taxes, and is being abandoned as a result.
