Pan Am Railways operated a who's who of railroading executives as it began a end-to-end system tour with what is "believed to be" the parties representing the purchasers of the Springfield Terminal, Boston & Maine, Maine Central, and Portland Terminal assets. The OCS had a couple dozen occupants as it started day 1 of the trek from Mechanicville, New York, to Lawrence, MA and is seen at Schagticoke, NY on a brilliant fall morning.
