Now it's the Middle Bridge. On the morning of Sunday, July 26, 2020, the Amtrak California Zephyr (Train 6) cross the Benicia-Martinez Railroad Draw Bridge between those two communities in California over the Carquinez Strait. While the rail bridge was completed in 1930 by the Southern Pacific Railroad, the surrounding road bridges opened later, in 1962 and 2007. Webb Rail LLC - WEBX's former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome/sleeper 313 (WEBX 801044) and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) hold the markers and will offer incredible views across the terrain of California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado before parking in Denver for a few days.
