CSXT B724 passes MP QBU 28.0 as it lumbers northbound on the CSXT Fitchburg running track through a swampy area in Southborough, MA with one load and over a dozen empties for customers in Sterling and Leominster. This line started in operation in 1855 as the Agricultural Branch railroad between Framingham and Fitchburg MA and later absorbed into the Old Colony Railroad and the New York, New Haven and Hartford RR. This location is north of Marlborough Junction and in the area of a legendary "cornfield meet" in a blinding snowstorm on Feb. 3, 1989 where it is reported one steam locomotive landed atop the other.
