| With 110 loads of coal for Tidewater export, NS DC-to-AC conversion AC44C6M No. 4039 eases across the Virginian Railway-built trestle at Sweeneysburg. 110 cars back, a quartet of Watco-owned SD60s are communicating to the head end as this heavy drag negotiates the mountains of rural West Virginia on a damp, fall afternoon. Colors are exceptionally vibrant this year and probably the best West Virginia has experienced since 2011. |
