Remarks & Notes
In the early 1970s, leased Penn Central GG1s were in charge of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor trains west of New Haven. PC 4894 is spouting steam as it leads a Boston-Washington run passing through Old Greenwich, CT. The first car is a former New Haven baggage/parlor combine.
