| With the mid-July sunset still a little less than an hour away, Iowa Interstate's nightly Blue Island to Council Bluffs road freight very slowly creeps out of the former Rock Island Burr Oak Yard after getting a block extension all the way to Mokena. Much to the dismay of 139th Street traffic, this long train had tripped the crossing circuit about a little less than a mile down the track and caused quite the backup as it slowly made its way out of the yard. I can only imagine that this is a daily event. |
