| Re 4/4 174 belongs to the Lötschberg-Simplon-Bahn. The locomotive has been in service since 1972. Today it is usually used in front of freight trains; in the past it was also high-quality express train services. In the picture it was on German soil in Weil am Rhein. Locomotives of this series can still be seen here today, but their days are numbered. The first of their series were scrapped. The semaphores are history. The station is currently being redesigned in the course of expanding the line to the north to four tracks. |
