BNSF loaded coal in the Tolland Valley
Wednesday December 9, 2020 the Union Pacific Moffat Subdivision played host to a unlikely traveler. BNSF 6271 leads a trio of power with 2 in DPU on the back reminiscent of the “6-pack” days when coal was a regular thing. The Continental Divide stands proud along East Portal Road near the venerable school house. A classic shot with pleasant winter mid morning light on an uncustomary warm still day near Moffat Tunnel.
