First day operational and very first snow blowing after about 60 years! Snow blower R 12 (X rot d # 9212), built by the SLM Winterthur in 1913 for the Rhaetian Railway, main network, is throwing the snow about 40 meter wide over the Furkareuss river near Realp DFB on the adhesion section of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (the line is closed during wintertime). The R 12 was withdrawn by the RhB in 1968 and given to the Blonay-Chamby Railroad Museum in 1971, then changed in 1996 with Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke: R 12 to the DFB, stabled in Gletsch, and the X rot d # 9214 of the DFB to the Blonay-Chamby. In 2002 transported from Gletsch to Goldau by road and since then renovated by the "R 12 group" of Martin Horath. Pushing is cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 4 of the DFB, built in 1913 as well. The vehicles stopped for a short check in the googe of the Furkareuss river, head of the reconstruction, Martin Horath, is right in front of the 2,5 meter blower wheel.
