Remarks & Notes
A southbound Amtrak Regional Express races past Curtis Park station, just outside of Philadelphia, PA, This station, built in 1948 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, serves as a surviving example of a station in Levittown, PA, seen here lost to demolition in 2016. Curtis Park, located in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania was named after the Curtis Publishing Company. Prior to 1948, the station was originally known as "Academy Station", a local branch of the Holy Child Academy which was once located nearby. The Sharon Hill station, itself, is about a whole ½ mile south and can be seen here.
