Remarks & Notes
We've put our 100 car train(mostly empty 40ft empty box cars) in the clear on the westward siding east of town......reason being we have to do all the switching between Columbus and Fall River on both sides of the double track but mostly on the east bound side. While the crew Conductor Chichanowicz and a couple of GREEN HORNS from the Milwaukee Terminal get their instructions from Tom Tracy the Agent at Columbus I'm outside with my Minolta trying to get some shots of our LINES WEST power. We've got the 5601/SG1/5603......Thank GOD we got a late call in Milwaukee....normally it was 11PM but for some reason may have been shortage of a couple of brakemen we weren't called till 6AM......actually slept at home in my own bed till 4AM!.....It's gonna be a LONG day...........

All of Tom Farence's pictures with stories. These are too incredible not to put in an album. Will include other's photos if they have a write up to go with.
