Mora la Nova station was inaugurated in 1891 by the Company of the Railways from Barcelona to Tarragona and France. Its location, halfway between Zaragoza and Barcelona, as well as an ambitious connection plan, gave rise to a station that was disproportionate in relation to the urban center in which it was located and where more than 1000 people worked. In 1941, the management of the station passed into the hands of RENFE after the railway was nationalized in Spain. Since 2004 the building belongs to the railway manager ADIF. The station retains its original eclectic style and is listed as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest by the Generalitat of Catalonia. The last remodeling was carried out in 2007.
