On October 23, 2020, a set of Freeport McMoRan power heads downgrade between Morenci and Clifton, Arizona. The four units will lift another train interchanged from Arizona Eastern Railway, bound for FMI’s huge copper mining complex at Morenci. FMI EMD GP38 No. 51 still wears the blue, white and red colors of former owner Phelps-Dodge.
