Remarks & Notes
CSX loaded Potash train K870 (Chicago, IL - Rockport, FL) attempts to get up to speed after meeting Northbound Q188 at Pelham. This train appears to have been a test run down to Florida and was restricted to 25MPH the whole way. Needless to say, it had a decent run from Chicago until it got to Birmingham. This was two Loaded Potash trains in one at about 25K tons and about 8,530FT. On the Lineville Sub there is one particular hill most over tonnage trains have to look out for and that's pulling Lineville hill. This train would soon stall out at Lineville and seek assistance from a local to help shove it over the hill only to tie down at Lineville siding.
