Remarks & Notes
ACF on the ADIX. Former Union Pacific Railroad blunt-end dome-observation 9001 is the newest addition to the operating fleet of the Adirondack Scenic Railway. Built by American Car & Foundry Company, it was delivered to the UP in 1955 and assigned to the City Of Los Angeles. After a number of other owners including the original Auto Train, it was bought by the Friends of 261 and sold to the Adirondack Scenic Railway, where it is seen in this aerial view in front of Utica Union Station, Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
