| Engineer training run with 2-8-0 "Consolidation" steamlocomotive G 4/5 # 108 of the Rhaetian Railway and 5 freight cars from Samedan to Scuol-Tarasp and back. The train is entering Cinuos-chel-Brail station on the way back to Samedan. The building on the right served to house the electric power switches for the overhead wires in former times. Such buildings are typical on this line and were kept for reasons of monument preservation. The Engadine line was electrified with 11000 V 16,7 Hz AC from the start in june 1913. The station building on the left is very typical for the line too, in the Engadine style. |
