The Prairie Sky Is Wide And High. Between the Amtrak stops in Del Rio and Sanderson, Texas, there is a long stretch of the route of the Amtrak Sunset Limited (Train 1) that parallels US Route 90. On Sunday, July 19, 2020, Webb Rail's former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) and former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome/coach 549 (WEBX 801045) hold the markers on Train 1 as it flies across the arid lands of western Texas.
