Unusual Freight. Kansas City Southern 3928 and 3943 (SD70MAC) were tasked with a short move from the KCS Yard to to New Orleans Public Belt Railroad on the early morning of Friday, July 17, 2020. Their manifest was former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome/coach 549 (WEBX 801045) and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007), both departing for an interchange with Amtrak. Former New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway 509 ("The Popemobile") sits to left, now in the collection of a private owner and is not presently operable.
