| Georgia Central L781 is lit by the only appearance of the sun on this day as it climbs the grade north of Ripley as it heads north for Macon. With the line in need of higher horsepower engines that can traverse the entire line, G&W decided to lease some former Norfolk Southern B32-8's from GE, marking the return of GE locomotives to the GC since the high hood U23B's were retired in 2015. |
