| The Wattinger curve was a popular photo spot. Re 420 169-5 was together with a Re 620 (Re 6/6) on the ascent towards the Gotthard tunnel. In the following spiral tunnel, the train changed its direction of travel. It went north for a few kilometers before the train continued its journey south through another spiral tunnel in a much higher position. |
