Remarks & Notes
Former French Railways SNCF "Mountain" (4-8-2) steamlocomotive 241 A # 65, the largest coal fired (without stoker) in western Europe, with a train from Full (AG) via Koblenz-Eglisau-Bülach-Zürich Altstetten-Zürich main station, passing Rietheim near Koblenz. The four cylinder compound express train locomotive was built in 1931 by the Company Fives-Lille for the ETAT (Chemins de fer de l’État). Despite the impressive large driving wheels (diameter 1950 mm or 76.77 inches) she was built for "only" 110 km/h (68.35 miles per hour), today in Switzerland she is allowed to go 100 km/h. She is operational again in Switzerland since 1996 for the association 241-A-65 and based in Full/Argovie, but in the moment undergoing boiler works.
