The temporary release of the CSX Tribute Locomotives (and possible complete return to operation) has stirred the minds of railfans across the east coast on CSX. Railfans from states far from where this train even ran; West Virginia, Kentucky, and so forth chased this train. Some chased all the way from Selkirk, NY to Waycross, GA. This was a big deal, and railfans flooded every possible shot along the route the train traversed. Despite this - A.Y was calm as many railfans had gotten their positions for photos of the train working the yard before heading south. On the head end, CSXT 1776 (Military Tribute) and CSXT 3194 (Police Tribute) are making a pick up of cars. Note the two derailed tank cars placed on flatbeds bound for repair. CSXT 911 was placed as a distributed power unit, after having mechanically broke down several days earlier.
