On a perfect winter's afternoon in Batavia, R CHI452 is making its rounds on the West Chicago Branch, the oldest line on the BNSF Railway's system. It features one heck of a leader in the form of a Cascade green GP39E on a GP30 carbody. Built in 1963, the former Great Northern 3007 recently completed its switching work at Suncast Industries a little north of here. Shortly after this photo, it would shove up the connection to the left and make way into the nearby industrial park to perform some quick switching moves at Lineage Logistics and PPG Industries.
