Santa Fe’s ultra hot 199 train flies across a wood trestle over Prairie Creek at Ancona, Illinois, on the afternoon of May 30, 1992. The Chicago to Richmond, California, piggyback train is powered by a quartet of Super Fleet GE B40-8Ws.
