| Bright Sunshine. A Rockaway Park-bound A train arrives at B 90th St Station on the IND Rockaway Line. The train operator's hand shielding her eyes from the sun has turned into a wave at her colleague just out of frame on the platform. The Rockaway Line splits at a wye just east of this station. Typically A trains serve the busier eastern leg, towards Far Rockaway, and S trains serve this west leg to Rockaway Park. On this particular weekendA trains were diverted to Rockaway Park due to ballast maintenance activities on the Far Rockaway branch. The additional staff on the platform are to help guide the throngs of passengers bound for stations on the Far Rockaway branch to shuttle buses downstairs. |
