| New York Susquehanna & Western train SU-99 has just began it's journey and is crossing the Hackensack River passing the USS Ling, a WWII era Balao class diesel submarine built in 1942. The sub was once restored to near mint condition and was previously the centerpiece of the NJ Naval Museum at Hackensack. A few years ago she was damaged and sunk in the river by what was first believed to be the work of vandals. Today she is in the process of being restored by a group of dedicated volunteers. Tonight's SU-99 has two EMD SD33-ECO's 3016 and 3012 |
