CN train L572 (Flat Rock, MI - Detriot, MI turn) works its way southbound on the ex DT&I "Arch Line" with a pair of ex Illinois Central SD70s for power. These arches were constructed in 1925 to carry overhead wire for the "Ford Electric Railroad" stretching from the Ford plant in Dearborn to just south of Flat Rock allowing for faster and more efficient service as compared to steam locomotives. Taken out of active service after the stock market crash of 1929, the arches have sat dormant ever since.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
