Remarks & Notes
Ge 4/4 II # 616 "Filisur" of the Rhaetian Railway, in the special publicity paint scheme for the collection of donations for the steamlocomotive G 3/4 # 1 "RHAETIA" of 1889. The locomotive is also called "the coal locomotive" because the term coal is also used colloquially for money. As you can see, the donation barometer on the locomotive side is completely filled with 19 briquets, so 19 x 50000 = about 950 000 francs were collected for the restoration of the very first locomotive of the Rhaetian Railway respectively its predecessor company Landquart-Davos-Bahn (LD). This was a joint campaign of various railroad associations under the umbrella of RhB Historic with support from the Rhaetian Railway. The locmotive is leaving the 422 meter long Ransun tunnel in the gorge of the Vorderrhein (Ruinaulta) between Versam-Safien and Trin, pulling the Regio Express 1732 from Disentis-Mustér via Ilanz-Reichenau-Tamins-Chur to Landquart, and further as RE 1241 via Klosters-Vereina tunnel to Scuol-Tarasp.
