A pair of Montana Rail Link's nicely painted EMD SD70 ACEs is seen leading the Night Gas Local North of Arlee, Montana. The weather was straight up wild. We drove through snow squalls, rain, and bright sun on this chase within a short period of time. A nicely timed sucker hole graced us at this spot making an image that doesn't even look real. The gas local runs twice a day round trip from Missoula to Thompson Falls and back. Loads go West, empties go East. The railroad is bridging a pipeline gap.
