National Steel Corporation Weirton Steel Division (WSX) SW1500 306 switches cars at their facility. Built by EMD in January 1971 as Pittsburgh & Lake Erie 9288, this switcher was later renumbered P&LE 1565. It was later sold to Whitestone Supply, which numbered it WSTX 306. From there, it ended up as WSX 306, effectively just losing a âTâ in its reporting mark and road number. (Weirton, West Virginia â September 19, 2019). Photographed on private property with permission and full PPE.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
