POTUS Joe Biden tweeted, "This is a birthday I certainly wouldn’t miss." He didn't disappoint. Aside from facts and figures about why investing in passenger rail is wise environmentally and economically, he told sincere stories about his interactions with Amtrak employees that he came to consider family, and the mobility benefit America's Railroad has given him and millions of others over the years. His full remarks are on Amtrak's YouTube channel. What a special honor for Amtrak, as well as personally for me having been so lucky to photograph the historic occasion. Congratulations Amtrak, and to everyone involved in helping reach this moment in American history.
