Remarks & Notes
For celebration of 150 years of the first cogwheel mountain railway in Europe, the worldwide unique operational cogwheel steamlocomotive with an upright boiler, the famous number seven, H 1/2 # 7 was taken out of the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne and made operational again. The locomotive, which was built in 1873 as first product of the Swiss Locomotive and Machine works (SLM) for the Rigi-Bahn from Vitznau up to Rigi Kulm. The very first 6 locomotives of the Rigi-Bahn were delivered by the Schweizerische Centralbahn works in Olten, but were of a very similar construction. Now the famous H 1/2 # 7 is on the first testrun after 12 years, below Kräbel.
