Mower Lumber Co., Whittaker Camp. Mower Lumber Company employees return to their bunkhouse upon the completion of their shift, loading fresh timber onto log flats for transport down to the sawmill operations in nearby Cass, WV, circa 1948. Mower Lumber Company was the last company to run the logging operations on Cheat Mountain, from 1942, until the operation closed down for good in 1960.
