Cogwheel railcar Bhe 1/2 # 21 of the Pilatus Bahnen (PB) is running down the mountain with 9 km/h trough the Eselwand (Donkey-wall. The mountain is named Esel / Donkey) as train CC 16 from Pilatus Kulm to Alpnachstad. This railcar was built in 1937 when the 4,7 kilometer long line was electrified with 1650 V DC. In the next years, the railway will get 8 new railcars, which can run in multiple control (max. two) and slightly "faster", from StadlerRail and Calag Langenthal. The first will be delivered in some days, and they will run regularly from 2023.
