Remarks & Notes
Cogwheel steamlocomotive H 1/2 # 7 with upright boiler, built in 1873 by the SLM, is shoving the small passenger car B # 5 of 1871 up to Rigi Kulm, with Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee) and Pilatus mountain in the background. This is a so called Hop-on Hop-off ride on the about 1 kilometer long section between Rigi Staffel and Rigi Kulm for few money. The train is on the track of the former Arth-Rigi-Bahn (ARB), which was opened in 1875. The track of the former Vitznau-Rigi-Bahn (then: Rigi Bahn), opened in 1873 and built by the ARB, is running parallel on the right, slightly higher.
