Norfolk & Western Double Header Pan ShotNorfolk & Western's 4-8-0 No. 382 double heads with Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 No. 611 at the Strasburg Rail Road's "N&W Re-union of Steam" event with N&W No. 475 dressed as No. 382. An unlikely event but all in good fun, the finale to a Lerro Productions charter with both locomotives captured in a double-headed, hand-held pan shot captured at 1/15th. Rods down for American fans, rods up for the British fans!
This was my first attempt, up and "close" at the double-header, taken on October 6th, 2019, likely standing next to fellow panster and student in training - Sean Mathews. Seems he graduated with honors, no? With some blue still visible in the sky, Sunday, the 6th, was the "nicer" of the two double-headed run-by events at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. Monday's catch came with less forgiving skies but an opportunity to try for a wider perspective seen here.
