The Norfolk & Western 611's home railroad, the N&W was host to a very unique kind of signal known as the Color Position Light signal. They were the mainstay of home-N&W territories for many years, until the arrival of newer Vader signals to Norfolk Southern over the previous two decades. The design, very similar to the Pennsylvania Railroad Position Light signal was one of the most iconic features of the railroad. At Strasburg, Pennsylvania - far from N&W territory, it's only fitting that 611 is passing PRR spec position light signals.
