Remarks & Notes
Serpentine. A Canarsie-bound L train snakes through the s-curve north of Sutter Av station. The abandoned trackways seen here formerly carried the BMT Fulton St el, which ran concurrently with the Canarsie Line over Van Sinderen and Snediker Aves between here and Atlantic Av station. In fact, the two tracks of the Canarsie Line formerly split here, with Manhattan-bound trains curving one block over to Snediker Ave. The structure was modified and tracks over Snediker Ave torn down as part of the line's upgrade to Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and Automatic Train Operation (ATO).
