Remarks & Notes

After coming from Roanoke on a ferry move, Norfolk & Western 2-6-6-4 1218 eases off of the N&W wye in Lynchburg, Virginia, and proceeds down the connector to the Southern main line and the excursion train waiting to head north to Alexandria. Note the N&W emblem cast into the far bridge abutment.
