Rahway Valley Railroad 2-8-0 No. 15Rahway Valley 2-8-0 No. 15 leads a small freight through Scranton, PA, in a scene staged at Steamtown National Historic Site. No. 15 was built by Baldwin in 1916 as Oneida & Western Railway No. 20, though was later acquired by Rahway Valley in 1937, being renumbered to 15. It last ran in revenue service in November 28, 1953.
No. 15 was donated to F. Nelson Blount in May 1959 and added to his collection in Vermont. Blount later restored the locomotive and operated it at the original Steamtown, U.S.A. in Bellows Falls, Vermont. The locomotive later became Green Mountain Railroad #15 following the formation of that railroad. It remained under the Green Mountain name until 1973 when it was reverted to Rahway Valley #15. No. 15's last run was on August 12, 1973.
