Remarks & Notes
"The Floating EL Hack at Pier 66"

A former Erie Lackawanna Railroad caboose (also known to some as a "hack") sits on display at the Frying Pan; a former railroad float barge-turned restaurant at Pier 66 Maritime in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. This 1946 built Erie Lackawanna caboose was purchased via an eBay auction and trucked to Pier 66 from Pennsylvania in 2007. It currently serves as a display to restaurant and bar patrons showing how a railcar sat on rails as the barge was pushed across the Hudson River by tugboat.
