Remarks & Notes
The steamtrain of the Rigi Bahnen with locomotive H 1/2 # 7 of 1873 is on the level crossing of the Rigistrasse in Goldau, after a nightly trip down from Rigi Staffel on the occasion of a M.D. photo charter run. The Roman Catholic church of the Sacred Heart in the background is a picturesque neo-Romanesque building of 1909 with a high pointed tower. The masonry was made of nail-fluh stone and is thus deliberately intended to recall the huge Goldau landslide of 1806. Already the entrance facade of the basilica with its flanking stair towers looks imposing.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
