Remarks & Notes
"Mister Lok 7", engineer Martin Horath, is greasing the cylinder of the cogwheel steamlocomotive H 1/2 # 7 of the Rigi Bahnen. The locomotive with upright boiler was built in 1873 by the SLM Winterthur, as very first product of this work, for the Rigi Bahn from Vitznau to Rigi Kulm. In 1937 the locomotive was withdrawn but kept, and on display in the new Swiss Museum of Transport Lucerne from 1959. Martin Horath was part of the team which rebuilt the locomotive when she was taken out from the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne in 1995 for running again to the Rigi mountain. He was then engineer and responsible for the maintenance and operation of the locomotive during the operations on the mountain in 1996/1997, 2009 and today. In between, the locomotive was again on display in Lucerne.
