| "Xing Closures at Little Neck Parkway"
Just after sunset on July 19th, 2021, Long Island Rail Road Extra 166 East slowly passes over the Little Neck Parkway grade crossing on the Port Washington Branch with a loaded stone train in tow. The stone extra is dropping fresh ballast on "Port Wash 1" in support of new track that was recently laid between BAY & NECK Interlockings. Little Neck Parkway is unique as it is the only public crossing at grade on the Port Washington Branch (one of few remaining in New York City) and is the LIRR's only grade crossing listed as a Quiet Zone.
