CN 2123 & 8955 lead X33791 06 past the old Beth Siding. If memory serves, only half a year prior, the rails were still standing, but alas, time moves on. Looking back at this, I'm incredibly thankful I was able to capture the crossties and tie plates, because those too have given way to progress and are no more. What remains today is indentation in the ballast and discoloration in it from the years of service, but even that is beginning to fade. Interestingly enough, I believe this was the last time a C40-8 led across the Iowa Division, and if not, the last one to lead across it to be captured during daylight. Now, most of these take a back seat to the Iron Range, where they'll likely live out the last of their days.
