Nickel Plate No. 765 passes the former Delaware, Lackawanna & Western tower upon her arrival in East Stroudsburg, PA. The "Phoebo Snow Special" will make a short stop here before proceeding to the Delaware Water Gap on a round trip excursion originating at Steamtown, in Scranton, PA.
The tower still contains the original mechanical interlocking machine though no longer controls switches or signals. A few of the large levers, however, can still be operated to demonstrate the features of the machines. No mechanical interlocking machines of this type remain in service in the United States.
