Remarks & Notes
United States Sugar's Fort Pierce turns heads through South Bay on their way east, then north toward the Florida East Coast Railway's Fort Pierce yard. Interestingly enough, this line was actually built by the FEC and called the K-Branch. Originally, the K-Branch was supposed to become an alternate route for trains to bypass the busy east coast cities between Fort Pierce and Hialeah yard, but as we can see now, that didn't happen.
