Remarks & Notes
The double deck commuter trains of the S-Bahn Zürich first generation are called "DPZ+" (Doppelstock Pendelzug nach Refit), and are pulled by a locomotive Re 450 with only one cab, automatic coupler in front and the standard coupler and buffers in the rear (towards the train). Here we can see two Re 450 locomotives (# 112 and # 025) coupled back to back (# 112 towed), in multiple control with the DPZ+ with Re 450 # 061. The train is running from Oberwinterthur maintenance center (UA=Unterhaltsanlage) to Zürich Vorbahnhof, for repairs in the RZA (Reparaturcenter Zürich Altstetten), ans was pictured between Oberwinterthur and Winterthur.
